PK Saunders invented the diaphragm valve in 1928. In succeeding years have developed a range through innovation in both design and new materials technology. As a result, Saunders diaphragm valves have gained an excellent reputation worldwide for versatility and reliability in Aseptic and in Industrial applications with corrosive and abrasive media. We offer four main types of diaphragm valve, each type specifically suited to these applications.

Saunders continues to lead the diaphragm valve industry in the development and manufacture of elastomer components based on our in-house core competence in rubber and plastic technologies.

The diaphragm is the key performance component within a diaphragm valve providing leaktight shutoff downstream and to atmosphere, also, isolating the topworks form the process media. As the innovator and leader in diaphragm valves, we continuously develop our diaphragm technology and remain the only manufacturer to have front to back ownership of all aspects of polymer research and development, rubber technology, diaphragm design and production.

This includes batch traceability to aid the validation process, diaphragms manufactured from FDA conforming materials to meet the requirements of CFR (Code of Federal Regulations) Chapter1 Title 21, with testing and certification to USP Classes V and VI. Certificates of Conformity are also available.

Saunders EC Type Pneumatic Actuators	Saunders EC Range A compact and lightweight piston operated pneumatic linear actuator suitable for demanding duties in both industrial and aseptic applications. Injection molded in PES (Polyethersulphone), the actuator offers excellent chemical and temperature resistance. Size Range: DN8-50 (¼” – 2”) Temperature Range: -14 deg F - +212 deg F Options: Available are failsafe spring to close or spring to open and double acting Valve Suitability: Weir type A diaphragm valve & AFP Aseptic Range of Diaphragm valves Accessories Available: Solenoid Valve, Switch box & positioners can all be fitted.
